Happy Week 36 Lucky!
You are the size of a head of romaine lettuce, weighing about 6 pounds. Head to toe, you measure 18.5 inches. It is hard to believe you still fit inside Mommy. Mommy is finding it hard to fit you, actually. It is getting a little colder, and Mommy found that her fall clothes aren’t fitting as well as they used to.
You keep clawing and twisting and moving inside, making it uncomfortable for Mommy to sit for any amount of time….so sleeping is frustrating. Every one I hear from at school told me, “the last month is the worst!” Great…here we go.
But I’m very proud of Mommy. She’s doing what she can to stay healthy, balanced, and serene. Here she is reading her New Yorker and soaking in the tub, taking some of the pressure off of her.
Saturday was our second baby shower, thrown by my friends at work. It was a library shower, so gifts were favorite books from the guests. It was a great idea and it was fun to see Mommy meet my work friends.
It is bedtime now but I’ve got MORE papers to grade and so many other things I feel like I need to do tonight. But, some things can wait. Here are some more random happenings.
I had an ultimate frisbee double header this weekend at Marymoor Park. I played really well, catching some deep passes and snagging some tough throws. A specialist met me yesterday to inspect my installation of your future car seat bases. Last night Mommy and I made a Trader Joe’s pizza. It was a pepperoni, pineapple, and pepper masterpiece. I watched the Seahawks game yesterday and ironed my shirts. We made a Costco run and stocked up with frozen dishes, pampers (I’ve NEVER bought those before), and some snacks and socks. Mommy had an OB appointment today….just a checkup….she heard your heartbeat and everything is ok for launch. Your grandma, grandpa, and great grandma Peabody all have birthdays this week (69 and 95!)
Love, Daddy
