Happy Week 37 Lucky,
The name of today’s post is, “Aarrrggggh!” because that is the best interpretation of the sound Mommy made last night when we were watching TV. She is very uncomfortable these days, moaning when she turns over in bed, getting in and out of cars and the couch, and even sitting or standing. You are full term, now, and you’ve been adding weight at an alarming rate, so Mommy looks kinda like an orangutang with a large belly. She’s ready to hold you in her arms instead of in her uterus.
After “Aarrrgggh-ing,” she said, “I think I just sprained my vah-jay-jay.” It was cute because she was quite uncomfortable but is still keeping a humorous state of mind.
She visited her trainer Linzey today and found out that she probably has pelvic symphisis disorder, which 1 in 4 pregnant women have. Because of the pressure and the flexibility of the pelvis, the cartilage between the pelvic bones above her pubis are under more stress than normal so they are painful. Linzey told Mommy that she really shouldn’t squat any more during her workouts and should practice walking more gingerly. Mommy is a heavy heel-toe walker, on her way into the shower she was practicing on walking with a more full-foot contact in her walk. Fun fun fun.
I spent some time fiddling with the website today because it is rainy today and I don’t have a lot of school work, so I’ve embedded one of my one-second-every-day videos to this post. I’ll describe more of this habit later. I saw the idea on a Ted Talks …..this is my month of July 2013.
Love, Daddy
